Alison grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After high school, Alison attended the University of North Carolina where she served in several leadership positions, was Captain of the Equestrian team, and spent a semester abroad in London. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
She went on to work in business administration and in 2011 she added a Master of Business Administration degree to her education. While working in Human Resources for a hospital in Georgia, she found herself drawn to the clinical side. Alison was accepted to the Medical University of South Carolina and graduated in 2018 with her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Alison worked in rural family medicine for over a year prior to starting her career in Rheumatology.
She joined Dr. Clarence Legerton’s practice at Low Country Rheumatology as of 2019.
