Anjali Shetty, MD, FACR

Dr. Shetty grew up in Palm Harbor attending Palm Harbor University High School. She attended college at the University of Florida majoring in Nutritional Sciences and received her medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine as well as fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is board-certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology.

Dr. Shetty is involved in clinical research, has published multiple papers, and has presented research at meetings at the American College of Rheumatology. She received training in musculoskeletal ultrasound from the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists to help provide more accurate evaluation of joints for arthritic changes and assist with injections and aspirations with better precision.

She has a special interest in nutrition and fitness and is passionate about helping her patients understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle to complement their rheumatological care. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, traveling, and cheering for the Florida Gators.

Dr Shetty was named as a Top Doctor in Tampa Bay for Rheumatology, as voted on by physician peers, in Tampa Magazine.
