Huma Sohail, M.D.

A native of Pakistan, Dr.Sohail received a combined bachelor of medicine and surgery from Allama Iqbal Medical College and University of Health Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan. She then proceeded to the United Kingdom and pursued advanced training in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

After coming to the United States, Dr. Sohail started her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mclaren Regional Medical Center/Michigan State University in Michigan. She received the outstanding PGY 1 trainee, resident teacher and academic excellence awards during her training. She also served as chief medical resident at the end of her residency.

Following her residency, Dr. Sohail completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at the prestigious University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She received intensive clinical and research training which shaped her future career.

Dr. Sohail then served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Tx. She served as full time clinical faculty, participated in clinical research, education of medical students, residents and rheumatology fellows and clinical consultation specialist for Sjorgren’s Clinic.

She has expertise in management of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, Gout, Pseudogout, Osteoporosis, Systemic Lupus Erythmatosus, Sjogrens Syndrome, Scleroderma and other connective tissue disorder. Dr. Sohail has special interest in the management of Inflammatory muscle diseases and Vasculitis. She is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology.

Dr.Sohail joined Arthritis Center of North Georgia/Articularis Health Care in 2015.
