Meet The Providers

Renée Peterkin-McCalman, M.D.
Dr. Peterkin-McCalman is from Augusta, Georgia. She attended Lincoln University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Biology and a minor in Japanese. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she pursued a master’s degree in public health at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
She then attended medical school at the American University of Antigua in Antigua, West Indies. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at Augusta University. Dr. Peterkin-McCalman went on to advocate with the Coalition of State Rheumatology Organizations (CSRO) and provided standardized training to primary care physicians with the American College of Rheumatology Fellows Project: The Lupus Initiative Educator.
She completed her Rheumatology fellowship at Augusta University. During her fellowship, she received exposure to a wide variety of complex rheumatic diseases.
Dr. Peterkin-McCalman is a member of the American College of Rheumatology.
