Allison Plaster, FNP-C

An Atlanta, Georgia native, Allison Plaster graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. After graduation, she moved to Tennessee where she began teaching kindergarten. She started volunteering at St. Jude Children’s Hospital and decided to pursue a career in nursing.

In 2013, her family transferred to Birmingham, Alabama where she obtained both a bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, each time graduating summa cum laude. Upon completion of her nursing degree, she worked at UAB hospital on the bone marrow transplant and medical ICU floor. After graduating as a family nurse practitioner, she joined a private rheumatology practice outside of Birmingham. She has been working in rheumatology since 2016.

Allison is a member of AANP (American Association of Nurse Practitioners), RNS (Rheumatology Nurses Society), and RhAPP (Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers).

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
