Richard S. Field, M.D.
Dr. Field grew up in the Atlanta, Ga., area where he attended and graduated from Stone Mountain High School. Later he graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS in Chemistry. He graduated from Medical College of Georgia in 1976 and completed his internal medicine training at Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center. He completed his rheumatology fellowship training at Medical College of Georgia then completed his Air Force career at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, where he served as staff rheumatologist and assistant professor in the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. After completing his active duty military career, he moved back to Augusta, joined the faculty of Medical College at Georgia, and served in the Army Reserve Medical Corps. He has been in private practice in Augusta since 2001. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.
